Glenmarroon House, Chapelizod, Dublin 20 – A house which spans Knockmarroon Hill connected by a foot bridge which high volumes of commuter traffic pass under on a daily basis.
Scary looking particularly on stormy nights and during thunder storms but absolutely beautiful
The Former Residence of Arthur Guinness, not to be confused with nearby Farmleigh House; which is just up the road and was built by his great grandson Edward Cecil Guinness – the first Earl of Iveagh
The view from a member’s front garden is Glenaulin House – The Private Home of Tim Healy – the Last Governor General Of Ireland and where the death warrants of the 1916 Leader’s were sighed and also where Michael Collins liked to hide when on the run.
